What is the case about?
On July 29, 2011, an action was filed against Defendants R-L Properties, Randy Lamar and Lisa Lamar (“R-L Properties”) on behalf of the named Plaintiff Brooke Diederich and all other similarly-situated individuals in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
Plaintiff was employed by R-L Properties as an hourly, non-exempt laborer. The action alleges that R-L Properties violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to pay Plaintiff and other similarly-situated employees overtime compensation.
Plaintiff believes that she and all other similarly-situated individuals are entitled to recover from R-L Properties unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, attorneys’ fees and costs.
Am I part of the class?
Plaintiff seeks to sue on behalf of herself and also on behalf of other employees with whom she is similarly situated. Plaintiff alleges that those individuals consist of current and former hourly laborers of R-L Properties, at any time within the last three years.

It is important that you return the Consent Form as soon as possible because the time period for which you can seek a payment for your unpaid overtime compensation will depend on when this form is filed with the Court.
What about retaliation?
The law prohibits R-L Properties, or any of its agents or employees, to discharge, or in any manner harass, discriminate or retaliate against you for taking part in this action. If you believe that you have been retaliated against for participating in this action, contact us immediately. You may be able to assert additional claims against R-L Properties.
Do I have to pay anything?
You do not have to pay anything to our firm if you join the action. We are handling this case on a contingency basis. This means we will only be paid if the action is successful in obtaining a recovery for you, and that payment will only come out of that recovery.
