Washington v. TeleTech Holdings

What is the case about?
On September 6, 2012, an action was filed against Defendant TeleTech Holdings ("TeleTech") on behalf of the named Plaintiff Serita Washington and all other similarly-situated individuals in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

Plaintiff was employed by TeleTech as a customer service representative. The action alleges that TeleTech violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to pay Plaintiff and other similarly-situated employees for work performed before clocking in at the beginning of their shifts and after returning from their lunch breaks each day, including but not limited to starting and logging into Defendant’s computer systems, starting and logging into Defendant’s numerous software applications, and starting and logging into Defendant’s phone system.

Plaintiff believes that she and all other similarly-situated individuals are entitled to recover from TeleTech unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, attorneys’ fees and costs.

Am I part of the class?
Plaintiff seeks to sue on behalf of herself and also on behalf of other employees with whom she is similarly situated. Plaintiff alleges that those individuals consist of all current and former customer service representatives of TeleTech within the last three years.

How do I get involved?
The time period for joining this action has expired. If you fit the class definition, however, your claims may not have not expired.

If you believe that you have been retaliated against for participating in this action, contact us immediately. You may be able to assert additional claims against TeleTech.

Do I have to pay anything?
You do not have to pay anything to our firm if you join the action. We are handling this case on a contingency basis. This means we will only be paid if the action is successful in obtaining a recovery for you, and that payment will only come out of that recovery.
