Ohio Minimum Wage Increased to $7.30 on January 1, 2009
The Ohio minimum wage increased to $7.30 on Thursday, January 1, 2009 for nontipped employees and to $3.65 an hour for tipped employees.
The increase was announced by the state Department of Commerce. For smaller firms, with less than $255,000 in gross revenues, and for 14 and 15-year-olds the new minimum is $7.25 an hour, up from $6.55.
