Tolton v. CEOGC

What is the case about?
On October 31, 2008, an action was filed against Defendant Council for Economic Opportunities in Greater Cleveland (“CEOGC”) on behalf of the named Plaintiff and all other similarly-situated individuals in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

Plaintiff is employed by CEOGC as a family service worker. The action alleges that CEOGC violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by misclassifying Plaintiff and other similarly-situated employees as “exempt” employees, and not paying them overtime compensation.

Am I part of the class?
Plaintiff seeks to sue on behalf of herself and also on behalf of other employees with whom she is similarly situated. Plaintiff alleges that those individuals consist of current and former family service workers of CEOGC at any time within the last three years.
